On-Line In-service Course for PGT (Bio)-First Spell (03-14 Jun 2020)-

First Spell On-Line In-Sevice Course for PGT (Bio) was started on 03 Jun 2020 at ZIET Chandigarh. 14 Participants of 09 Region (Ahmdabad, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Hydrabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Raipur, and Chandigarh) are participating in this course. This course is conducting from 03 Jun to 14 Jun 2020. Course Director Sh Ranvir Singh address the participants and motivate them to learn from this online In-Service course. He emphasis to inculcate 7 habits of highly effective people in your personality. Course Coordinator Sh SP Singh, TA (Bio), presented the course objective. Sh Kushal Raj, PGT Bio, KV Palampur (RP), Sh Harbhajan Lal, PGT Bio (RP), Sh Devinder Kumar, PGT CS, KV 3BRD Chd (RP), Sh Sanjay Chauhan, Smt Sunita Gusain, Smt Renuka Chawla, Sh Tajinder Singh, and Sh Sunil Saini were present at this movement.

EFFECTIVE USE OF DIGITAL LEARNING CONTENTS

Digital learning is a web-based learning which helps students to gain knowledge by making use of information technology. It empowers students by getting them to be more interested in learning and expanding their horizons.  Learning tools and technology enable students to effective self-directed learning skills.  They are able to identify what they need to learn, find and use online resources, apply the information on the problem at hand and even evaluate resultant feedback.  This increases their efficiency and productivity.

 In addition to engaging students, digital learning tools and technology sharpen critical thinking skills which are the basis for the development of analytical reasoning.  Children who explore open-ended questions with imagination and logic learn how to make a decision, as opposed to just temporarily memorizing the test book.  Children also develop positive feelings of the accomplishment from mastering new knowledge and skills using digitized learning tools giving them the confidence they need to want to learn even more new things.  

An effort has been made by ZIET Chandigarh, to compile various digital learning resources available in tabular form according to the requirement of students of classes 2 to 12 all subjects and uploaded on ZIET Chandigarh Library Blog (libraryzietchd.blogspot.com). Otherwise searching various links & videos is a time-consuming exercise for students.  In this compiled information link to NCERT website to select the NCERT book, unit wise/ topic wise videos made by Diksha, Unacademy, Edumantra, Vedantu, Byju's, Magnet Brains etc. are available on YouTube (public domain) and the tests and assignments prepared by expert subject teachers are given.  The student can choose his subject NCERT book and the unit, thereafter he/she will choose the videos available in the links given and can learn from it.  After learning he/she will get himself / herself tested through tests and assignments given, by clicking to test and assignment link on the topic/unit.  After attempting the test and submission the child will get his/her score. 

This effort is made for enhancing self-learning by the children.  Which has become more relevant in the wake of COVID-19 Pandemic and the lockdown period going on. Since students are missing their regular classes, this way they can utilize their time effectively.  The further attempt is being made to link videos of expert subject teachers of KVs particularly from the feeder regions of ZIET Chandigarh very shortly.

पुस्तकालय अध्यक्षों हेतु 11 फरवरी से 02 मार्च 2020 तक 21 दिवसीय सेवा कालीन प्रशिक्षण शिविर

पुस्तकालय अध्यक्षों हेतु 11 फरवरी से 02 मार्च 2020 तक चलने वाले 21 दिवसीय सेवा कालीन प्रशिक्षण शिविर का उदघाटन संस्थान के निदेशक व उपायुक्त श्री रनवीर सिंह जी ने किया।

अपने उदघाटन भाषण में संस्थान के निदेशक व उपायुक्त ने कहा कि वर्तमान में पुस्तकालयों को ई-लर्निंग हब के रूप में विकसित करना चाहिए। और बदलते परिवेश में बच्चों की बदलती आवश्यकता को ध्यान में रखकर कर ही पुस्तकालयों को तैयार करना होगा।

इस प्रशिक्षण शिविर मे 18 संभागों के 48 प्रतिभागी भाग ले रहे है इस 18 संभागों मे चंडीगढ़ , दिल्ली, देहारादून, जम्मू, गुरुग्राम व गुवाहाटी शामिल है। इस अवसर पर कार्यक्रम के सह कोर्स निदेशक व आंचलिक शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण संस्थान के पुस्तकालय अध्यक्ष सुनील सैनी, संसाधक  नीलम सिवाच, आदेश कुमार संस्थान के सह-प्रशिक्षक संजय चौहान, एम राजेश्वरी, एस पी सिंह, सुनीता गुसाईं, संजीव कुमार, सहित सभी प्रतिभागी उपस्थित थे।
