World Development Information Day (24 Oct)

 In 1972, the General Assembly established World Development Information Day to draw the attention of the world to development problems and the need to strengthen international cooperation to solve them (resolution 3038(XXVII)). The Assembly decided that the date for the Day should coincide with United Nations Day, 24 October, which was also the date of the adoption, in 1970, of the International Development Strategy for the Second United Nations Development Decade.

The Assembly deemed that improving the dissemination of information and the mobilization of public opinion, particularly among young people, would lead to greater awareness of the problems of development, thus, promoting efforts in the sphere of international cooperation for development.

पुस्तकालय अध्यक्षों हेतु  "हाइब्रिड लाईब्रेरी मीडिया सेंटर का निर्माण एवं क्रियान्वयन "विषय पर 3 दिवसीय ऑनलाइन कार्यशाला का आयोजन जीट मुंबई के द्वारा दिनांक 10-12 अक्टूबर के दौरान  किया गया, जिसमें पांचों संभागो (अहमदाबाद , मुंबई, रायपुर,पटना एवं जयपुर ) के 41 प्रतिभागियों ने हिस्सा लिया |

 पी. एन. पन्निकर  फाउंडेशन द्वारा चलाये गए राष्ट्रीय पठन माह 18 जून से 19 जुलाई 2023 तक , में जीट चंडीगढ़ ने बढ़ चढ़ कर हिस्सा लिया जिसके अंतर्गत  पढने की आदत  को विकसित करने के लिये विभिन्न प्रकार की गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया  जा रहा है |

कला शिक्षकों ने नुक्कड़ नाटक के माध्यम से पानी बचाने का सन्देश दिया

के.वि.एस. शिक्षा एवं प्रशिक्षण का आंचलिक संस्थान चंडीगढ़ में टीजीटी कला शिक्षकों का 21 दिवसीय सेवा कालीन प्रशिक्षण दिनांक 10 मार्च 23 से 30 मार्च 23 तक चल रहा है जिसमें सभी प्रतिभागी रचनात्मक कौशल, शिक्षा में नवाचार और डिजिटल लिट्रेसी को सीख रहे है | यह प्रशिक्षण संस्थान के निदेशक श्री मुकेश कुमार, कोर्स सह-निदेशक श्री नवीन कुमार, कोर्स समन्वयक श्री अनुपम एस प्रकाश, संसाधक श्री कौशलेश और श्रीमती श्रंखला के निर्देशन में आयोजित किया जा रहा है | इस कोर्स के १३वे दिन में विश्व जल दिवस (22 मार्च) के अवसर पर एक नुक्कड़ नाटक का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें जल है तो कल है का नारा दिया गया और जल को संभलकर प्रयोग करने का संदेश दिया गया |
